Wellington Station is a fine example of aGastropub Pubs -- short for 'public houses' -- are as British as cricket and cream teas. Their origins go back to the taverns and inns set up to cater for the needs of travelers on the old toll routes of Britain. Click here to learn more about this Gastropub!
Proud winner of Turlock Journal 2009 Readers' Choice Wellington Station was the "Turlock Journal Readers' Choice" selection for the best pub in Turlock award in 2009. It was the fourth year in a row that Wellington's has won the award "for providing the community with outstanding service and our commitment to excellence.' Wellington's also received the California Humanitarian Award for "outstanding community involvement" form the California and National restaurant associations last year.
Turlock’s first and only British pub has gone “totally casual,” altering its interior look, feel and appearance and introducing a new menu that concentrates on traditional British pub grub like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash and a slate of American favorites like hamburgers, soups, salads and sandwiches that appeal to anyone seeking reasonably priced comfort foods.
